About Us

What is TENS all about?

The Executive Network of Seattle (TENS) is a private organization of executives who primarily work and reside in the Puget Sound area. Established in 2001, TENS offers opportunities for the professional career growth and personal development of its members, during both tenures of employment and in transition. We are a vibrant community with diverse backgrounds and are committed to helping one another and to building enduring relationships across companies and career disciplines.

What We Do

Professional & Personal Development – We promote the continuing professional and personal development of our members. We achieve this through speaker presentations, member workshops, special interest groups, personal coaching and by distributing timely and practical information through our web site and newsletters.

Business Development – We help our members with their business activities, supporting their role in business and assisting with their current needs. Members may need a specific expertise, advice on business development, an introduction, a resource or a second opinion. We keep each other in mind when we see business opportunities or can make valuable business connections.

Career Transition – We actively assist members in transition whether they are seeking an executive position, developing a consulting practice, purchasing a company or starting a new venture. We offer a broad based, cross functional network of trusted contacts and resources. We are continuously looking for career opportunities that may be of interest to our fellow members. We are sensitive to the personal challenges and stress of career transition and provide support and encouragement.

Social Activities – We recognize the value of social interaction and friendship. We organize social events for fun and relaxation and to provide opportunities to get to know each other better. We sponsor TENS outings for a wide variety of activities and encourage informal get-togethers between members.

Extended Networking – We continue to develop our personal and professional network beyond TENS based on our individual interests and needs. We are proactive in connecting with leaders in business, government, education and professional organizations. We share our expertise, resources and network of contacts as a service to the community.
